Top Pakistan-born Muslim selected to try and unseat BNP's Nick Griffin
The Labour-aligned Manchester Evening News is reporting that Pakistan-born Afzal Khan could well be selected as a European candidate, specifically to try and unseat Nick.
Coun Khan – who became Manchester’s first Asian lord mayor in 2005 – said Labour is determined to give Mr Griffin the boot. He said: “I’m delighted that I’m through to the next round.
“I’m looking forward to the future and removing Nick Griffin. His politics are very divisive and what we need is hope and a strong economy.
Going to check how many English, Christian candidates will be standing in Pakistan's elections. Shouldn't take too long.
