Victims

Avoiding politics initially for this evening, this 4.4MB photo from my iPhone depicts a rather sad tale. Those trademark pink and black feathers mean that this victim of either a sparrowhawk or kestrel could only have been a bullfinch. You might be able to see for yourselves by clicking on the image and expanding the crime scene.

Great pity that as bullfinches, as I have stated before, are amongst the most attractive of our native birds. However, the birds of prey have got to eat and their victims do seem to be increasing in numbers. Amongst my haul this lunchtime and thankfully very much alive and flapping were a treecreeper and a female crossbill, my first for quite a while.

The trial of the alleged Muslim paedophiles in Liverpool is starting to hit the headlines. Funny how the media dare not mention a racial or religious angle in this vile business. We've become used to our journalists disenfranchising the white community but in referring to the accused as "Asian" they really are not doing the Sikh or Hindu community any favours at all either.
